General Information
Three Valleys Water was formed in 1994 when Colne Valley, Rickmansworth, and Lee Valley Water merged. The company then grew even more in 2000 when its sister company North Surrey Water came on board to become the UK's largest water only company.
On average Three Valleys Water supplies 929 million litres of water per day to approximately 2.9 million customers. 42% from the water supplied comes from rivers and reservoirs and the remaining 58% from boreholes and aquifers. Three Valleys Water manage 83 treatment works as well as 137 service reservoirs and supply water through 14,277 KM of mains.
- Three Valleys Water PLC is a water only company and is part of Veolia Water.
- Three Valleys Water is generally a hard water area.
- Each week Three Valley Water conduct about 6,000 tests on water from treatment works, storage reservoirs and customers' own taps. They continually find that the drinking water they supply is of a very high standard and in 2003 99.89% of the regulatory tests carried out complied with the relevant standards.
Customer Services
Three Valleys Water pride themselves on supplying exceedingly high quality along with exceptional customer services. Compensation is offered if you feel that they have not met a satisfactory level of service.
Specific services have been put in place for customers with special needs:
- Large print, braille bills and minicom
- Vulnerable customer scheme to assist those on a low income whose water is supplied on a meter.

I would like to comment on the incredible speed a water meter was fitted when requested. I was quoted approx thirteen weeks, in fact it was one. Thanks to Three Valleys.
