I am quite good about not wasting water and lived alone following my divorce. I found i paid more in water rates on a meter than in the home with a family, dog and a pond. How does that makes sense?? Just another ploy to get even more money from the customer so the companies can waste even more water. After all, you don't leave something to rot before repairing it, and they have had since Victorian time to start repairing sooner rather than later. I had a water meter at my previous premises.
