General Information

Mid Kent Water was originally founded in 1898 and has steadily grown ever since. Today it serves nearly 600,000 customers, with an average of 165 million litres of water per day. Mid Kent Water provides over 210,000 homes and 24,000 homes with water though their 2,662 miles of underground pipes, stretching 791 sq.miles.

Mid Kent Water provides its water through 67 water towers and reservoirs, 34 source stations.

• Mid Kent Water provides water only, they do not deal with the removal of sewerage.
• Mid Kent is generally a hard water area; however this does vary between each area.
• 30,223 tests were carried out in 2003 on water samples taken by Mid Kent Water Plc. 99.92% of these test complied with the Regulations set by OFWAT.

Customer Services
